Tuesday 15th May 2007 saw Alain Lhermitte proprietor of the fabulous Mon Plaisir make a guest appearance on Gordon Ramsay's hit Channel 4 TV show "The F Word". He didn't meet the big man himself, but he did meet foodie firebrand Janet Street Porter who was talking about alternative meat, in this case horse meat, a traditional staple in France. 

Alain was offering advice on preparation and correct serving. Horse meat which is not widely available in the UK, and Janet had travelled to France to source the best meat available. 
Horse meat is not on the menu at Mon Plaisir, as the British palette is not accustomed to it and it also goes against the UK's national instinct regarding horses.
