Mon Plaisir is London's oldest French Restaurant and has for over fifty years been family owned; established by the Viala brothers during the 'forties', it was inherited by the Lhermitte family in 1972 and we have steadfastly continued the tradition of genuine French cuisine and service to this day.

Owner Alain Lhermitte came to England with a the dream of becoming a Formula One racing driver; his ambitions were curbed when he met the Viala family who gave him the opportunity to own this quintessential French restaurant and he has never looked back since! Alain runs Mon Plaisir with his daughter Valerie.
Mon Plaisir was originally smaller but just as busy.
Since the Lhermitte family inherited Mon Plaisir they have added other dining rooms so that more people can enjoy the Mon Plaisir experience.
